Solomon Software Appoints Vice Presidents of Distribution Product Group, Support Services and Hosting Services
FINDLAY, Ohio – Dec. 15, 1999 – Solomon Software Inc. has named two new vice presidents to its executive team in order to further enhance the company’s business management software and technical support offerings. Dennis Roossien has been named vice president and general manager of the distribution management group (DMG), effective Dec. 16. Bill Heffern will join Solomon as vice president of support, effective Jan. 10. In addition, Mark Granville, currently vice president of Solomon’s financial management group (FMG), will assume the role of vice president of hosting services, effective immediately. Solomon Co-founder and Chairman Gary Harpst will act as vice president and general manager of FMG.
"I am delighted to welcome Dennis and Bill to the Solomon team. They both bring with them vast experience in managing highly productive teams in their specific areas of focus. We all look forward to working with both of them, as their expertise will greatly benefit our distribution management and technical support business units, giving Solomon the ability to deliver outstanding products and services for our customers and channel partners," said Michael Rupe, president and CEO of Solomon Software.
Roossien has more than 10 years of experience in the distribution industry, working for EXE Technologies, a global leader of distribution technology. Rossien’s business management and technology expertise heading all aspects of one of EXE’s North American business units will assist Solomon DMG as it prepares to introduce its distribution software series as a part of the Solomon IV® software suite over the coming year.
Heffern is a 15-year veteran of the call center, technical support and client services management for Automatic Data Processing (ADP). His experience managing a support team of more than 1,000 people in 15 call centers will ensure continued growth and expanded support requirements for both Solomon’s channel partners and customers.
"The key roles that Gary and Mark continue to play within Solomon, combined with the strengths of our new and existing executive team members, ensure that Solomon is fully equipped to deal with the quick pace of business and the ever-changing technology landscape for continued success into 2000," Rupe continued. "I am excited to begin working with my expanded team in our continued commitment to delivering the most flexible business solutions for our small and medium business customers."
Granville is now responsible for developing and implementing Solomon’s application hosting strategy as the vice president of Solomon hosting services. His long history with the company, and his in-depth product and industry knowledge will be invaluable in this new role.
As Granville moves into this new position, Harpst will assume the role of acting vice president of FMG. Solomon’s financial modules are the foundational cornerstone of the company’s product offering, and as founder of the company, Harpst’s product knowledge and deep technical expertise will allow him to continue driving innovation and functionality in Solomon’s financial modules.
