Solomon software recently launched its newest financial and business management system software package, Solomon IV 4.0, in Indonesia. Solomon IV 4.0 is aimed to be use with database of Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, running under Windows NT Server operating system, and the family of back office. Included in the package includes Financial Series, Distribution Series, Project Series, Service Series, Light Manufacturing Series, and E-Business Series.
The Financial Series are the core accounting applications. One of the interesting aspect of this application is feature multi-company which lets the users keep separate track of multiple companies comprising an organization. The Distribution Series feature Order Management facility whose main function is to manage sales order process, from quotation through invoicing. The order can be also tracked from inventory and sales commissions. The Manufacturing Series are used to track work orders, bills of materials, and material requirements planning. Solomon IV also features E-business Series which contain series of web applications to communicate with the vendors, customers, and partners throughout the world.
Solomon IV 4.0 is available in two editions : Select and Premier. Select Edition targets companies with 20 to 100 employees or revenues of $ 2 to $ 20 million and for companies with less complex financial and distribution needs. Select Edition contains selection application, and the mainstream functionality needed by most typical small installations. But Premier Edition targets companies or locations within larger organizations with 100 to 1000 employees and revenues between $10 to $250 million or for companies with more complex applications needs.
"Our product strategy will always use the most common platform and database, which is Windows NT Server and SQL Server 7.0 so that the package is easy to modified and customized according to user’s need. Further, Solomon also will concentrate for small and mid-sized market," said Laurent Dedenis (General Manager, Solomon Software SEA). Solomon, which has approximately 35 customers in Indonesia, offers their new software with price US$ 3500 for small company and up to US$ 200.000 for mid-sized business, depending on the number of users and modules purchased.
