The May 2000 edition of the ExperTalk CTS Accounting Software Survey, conducted by CTS (Sheldon Needle) shows Solomon IV in a significant new light.

The survey was sent to CPAs, consultants and end users who are involved in evaluating, recommending and implementing PC-based accounting systems. The purpose of the survey is to determine the level of satisfaction with various leading systems. Survey respondents were asked to rate each of the 17 leading packages on the following: Performance, Stability, Flexibility, Customization, Implementation, and Vendor Support.

You may recall that Solomon IV did not rank well in the 1999 CTS survey...well, a lot has changed in a year.

For 2000, Solomon IV ranked #2 overall with an average score of 4.44.

Perhaps most importantly, living up to its brand promise, Solomon IV scored #1 in Flexibility and #1 in Customization, with the two highest scores resulting in the entire survey.

In terms of the highlights, Sheldon Needle, President of CTS, noted:

"Solomon IV staged a terrific comeback this year as a close second to Great Plains Dynamics in the overall ratings and assumed their previous status of the most flexible PC product. Additionally, their ratings greatly improved for implementation, stability and support with the new SQL-based version of their software. Solomon also improved its application ratings considerably over last year, having added many features to its new release."

From a competitive standpoint, here's the overall rankings:

1. Great Plains Dynamics

2. Solomon IV - with #1 rankings in Flexibility and Customization

3. MAS 90 Client/Server

4. Impact Encore

5. Great Plains eEnterprise

6. Elliott Business Software

7. MAS 90 for Windows

8. BusinessWorks

9. Macola

Systems with less than 10 responses were excluded from the final survey results, including AccPac for Windows, Platinum for Windows, SBT, AccountMate and Navision.
