  • Solomon Software South East Asia launches its major ASP initiatives  to Singapore and Malaysia.

On March 15, 2000, Solomon Software announced its Application Service Provider (ASP) initiative in Singapore and Malaysia. The new initiative enables mid-sized organizations to outsource the management of their business systems (ERP) by freeing resources to improve their business performance.

  • Solomon Software South East Asia major sponsored at Microsoft Windows 2000 Launch in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam in February and March 2000.

 

  • Solomon Software Indonesia has appointed new Country Manager, Mr Freddy Tandiary, with effect from February 2000.

 

 

  • Solomon Software receives certification from The Accounting Library

This certification confirms that Solomon IV meets The Accounting Library's rigorous, high standards and that the described features perform as specified. The Accounting Library, published by Solutions, Inc. guides customers and accounting software consultants through a comprehensive needs assessment and selection process to fulfill their requirements and needs. While The Accounting Library includes coverage of more than 160 accounting systems, only a handful complete the rigorous certification process. Solomon  unveils details of its five e-business product initiatives, based on the company’s e-business strategy of delivering a foundation of essential business applications that are tightly integrated with Internet functionality.

Solomon e-Business Product Update :

1.       eFoundation includes :

a.       Web Self-Service – applications in the Web Self Service include Web Employee Inquiry, Web Payroll Time, Web Vendor Inquiry, and Web Customer Inquiry.

b.       eTime – Project Time Entry

c.        eExpense – Project Expense Entry

d.       Web Requisition – Web-based purchase requisition

2.       eStore  includes :

a.       Web Order–  Web-based order entry solution for Solomon IV.

3.       PartnerLink  includes :

a.       Web Order – eCommerce Gateway (EDI Edition) – designed for customer  that wish to engage in business transactions with trading partners that require transmission of transactions in standard EDI format.

b.       ECommerce Gateway (Biztalk Edition) – Biztalk Edition will take advantage of Microsoft BizTalk Server and the XML standard to facilitate increased interoperability between the business transactions managed by eFoundation and the computer systems with other businesses.

4.       MyView includes :

a.       Solomon Desktop – provides employees and business partners secure access anytime and anywhere on 100% of the capabilities of Solomon IV.

5.       eTools includes :

a.       Application Server – provides the ability  to “off-load” the execution of CPU-intensive tasks, such as the printing of reports and execution of processes, to other machines on the network.

b.       Solomon Object Model – allows any application or programming tool that is capable of communicating to the Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) the ability to integrate with any screen in Solomon IV.

c.        Visual Basic for Application (VBA) – the world’s premier integrated development technology for rapidly customizing packaged software applications and integrating them with existing data and systems.
