Solomon IV users get browser-based interface

MID-MARKET business management and e-business software provider Solomon Software has released a browser-based interface that gives Solomon IV users secure Web-based access to business information.

The Solomon Desktop provides an integrated, personalised view of Solomon IV on the desktop.

It addresses Business-to-Employee and Business-to-Business situations by facilitating direct access to Web-based applications that are included with the Web Self-Service Bundle. These applications include Web Employee Inquiry, Web Payroll Time, Web Vendor Inquiry and Web Customer Inquiry.

In addition, users can access any Solomon IV standard or customised report, or any Solomon IV menu items through a local area network connection, or through a remote connection using Microsoft Windows 2000 Terminal Services.

According to Solomon Software, the goal of the browser-based interface is to enable customers to make e-business an everyday business without having to worry about the complexities of the underlying technology or spending a fortune to develop the technical capabilities. Solomon Desktop will also enable Solomon IV customers to save on system administration and training costs.

Solomon Desktop is available immediately for Solomon IV version 4.21 Select (Multi-User) and Premier Editions through authorised Solomon IV channel partners. Solomon Desktop with 100 named users is priced starting at $2,450 for Select Edition and $3,850 for Premier Edition.
